Mitchell was born and raised in Waynesboro as well as his beautiful wife, Sheryl. Mitchell and Sheryl have three children, Reagan, John Austin, and Chloe. He is a graduate of Lipscomb University (1992) as well as Heritage Christian University.
Mitchell serves the Waynesboro Church of Christ as one of it’s two ministers, splitting time in the pulpit with Gregg Lee, our other minister. Mitchell’s ministry focus is Family Life, but you will also find him working in just about every other aspect of ministry as well. He is also heavily involved with our mission efforts in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Mitchell served as the pulpit minister for Midway church of Christ in Lawrenceburg, TN for over four years until August 2007 when he became the Family Life Minister here in Waynesboro. Mitchell and Sheryl are also owners of The Factory Screen Printing in Waynesboro.
In addition to his duties as minister, Mitchell also teaches bible classes, leads singing, and conducts home bible studies.
